  1. THE 2nd set 2nd nite is insane they are on fire

  2. Mr.Miner Says:

    Yes, band announcement.

    Rothbury isn’t happening- almost did.

  3. I wonder what the video will look like for the announcement. Maybe Hampton footage.

  4. Billy Breathes Says:

    The Harmonic Code.

  5. Billy Breathes Says:

Anybody have the URL stating where Jerry Garcia once wanted to purchase the Fox Theatre in St Louis due to it’s acoustical perfection?

I have heard about this but looking to verify…I know he wanted to make it the Dead’s 2nd Home Base.

Can only imagine Phish’s performance there, but before that, their choice of songs simply b/c of the sound.

  6. Well, if 11-23-94 is any indication, we are all in for a treat when they (finally) return to the Fox this summer. 11-23 has -the- spaciest Tweezer AND YEM in the same show…it’s a great one.

  7. JUST GOT THIS FROM A FRIEND

not sure on the quality yet, as i have not finished the d/l… but the reviews are good. supposedly synced with the SBD audio… could be pretty awesome.”

this is another vid of night 1 .. its’ a pretty good video source a guy was selling on lot for 20 bucks, resynched with a better audio source. The above link is probably the same vid with the sbd. I believe we’re still waiting on the vid + matrix sbd/aud…

  9. Miner don’t worry about all the negativity floating in the comments section. Post any rumor you want and post when it’s been debunked. I’d rather see something that isn’t true but MIGHT be than nothing at all.

On a side not I cried during Divided Sky at my computer. I bet you can guess the part too. Duh duh duh dunnnnnnnnn

  10. bring it miner….your site rules

currently watching nacho libre getting pumped for west coast dates

  11. makisupapete Says:

mr. miner your site is my home page for a reason and you posting a rumor whether true or not gets me excited because it doesn’t happen often! so people chill out enjoy mr. miner’s insight and hope for more dates. how can we get pissed at the idea of their being more phish?!

  12. AMEN Pete! Phish is back and they’re ripping shit up….all is right in the world.

  13. full tour! Says:

i think the switch from jones beach to nassau would be a good idea. With the recent national publicity of the actions of hampton’s and newport news’ dickhead cops, eyes will be focused on jones beach and we will be the targets. I’m sure the highly inflated $1.2 million number is making police across the country drool at the possibilities of giving us all a hard time.

I have heard horror stories of cops/security at jones beach being some of the worst in the country. They don’t even sell beer and the fact that jones beach is in a state park is all sorts of trouble waiting to happen. The fines for anything are highly increased due to it being on park land.

Nassau, being on long island, has always had a reputation of being a much cooler venue with security that would probably be more nice and open to phishfans.

just my opinion, and it would suck for the people who already scored good seats to jones beach to have to give them up in favor of general admission.

  14. full tour is dead on with his assessment

  15. guyforget Says:

yes, Jones Beach does blow. you can’t even really drink in the lot. Nassau all the way. Plus, Gordo has bad luck there!

  16. guyforget Says:

the spectrum and nassau are synonymous in my book in terms of old school rocking venues. By the way, anybody hear the Dead shoutout on sportscenter on their segment about The Spectrum? Sixers played the final pro event there last night and during the montage, they mentioned the Dead played there 53 times!! Phish has some catching up to do in a short time!! i can see a multi night stand there in the fall.

  17. full tour! Says:

no matter where you get to see the boys this summer, just remember to be safe and have a great time! Keep an eye out for your fellow fans. Watch out for one another. And keep on keeping it real.

Have no doubt that there will be increased 5-0 on all the lots after all the hampton publicity. Keep them in check by keeping things on the downlow and be respectful towards the communities that will be hosting us.

I know that anyone on this site knows what is up. Lets help spread the word! Just stay safe, and have a good time! Its no crime to be responsible!

  18. wizzle1986 Says:

seems like a saw a cameraman on stage during hampton video on youtube, can anyone confirm/deny

  19. Henry Holland Says:

    Announcement Sunday @ midnight eastern

Cool! I can get all my requests in to Phish Ticketing before I go to bed.

I’ll never forget the shock of downloading the 3/6/09 No Spoiler file from Mr. Miner and those wonderful opening arpeggios of Fluffhead rising up out of the cheering. “What balls to start with that” I said to myself. And then Divided Sky?!?! Since I’m not a fan of 20-minute funk jams at all –or even 10-minute funk jams– the tight, focused song-based jams were perfect for me. A co-worker of mine couldn’t believe they did 86 songs over 3 nights: “How many bands have even 20 good songs?”.

  20. u want a rumor? Fenway 5/31…

  21. DANKBOYBILL Says:

LOVE the rumors – fenway in may, 8/31 in albany.shows in my hood. hope they come true,in the mean time at least i have something to keep me up at night dreaming about.

  22. I said it last night, but damn, these audience tapes are sweet! Much more depth…and I love the feel for the room that you get. Give me a good rig, in the hands of a taper that knows what he’s doing, and I’ll take that over a soundboard any day. Big ups to Jesse and all the others!

  23. the hampton 09 version of “all of these dreams” is sweet!!! Such a mellow song….i friggin love it! What a great version.

after i listened to that “dreams” from night three, i hit up the return of the slowed down “water in the sky” from night one. The difference between the 3rd night of hampton and the first is like night and day. The third hampton show was perfect. The band was warmed up and it showed. Compared to the first night where the band seemed very tense. Not saying the first night was a bad show, its just by the third night the band had that spark back and it seemed effortless. Imagine how good a 4th night would have sounded!

  24. I was talking about that “dreams” tonight w/ a friend of mine. I didn’t like that song when I first heard it back in 03 or 04, but for some reason, when they played it at Hampton, it felt like an old favorite. I also feel like the lyrics pretty much sum up the feeling of inspiration I’ve had since last weekend.

The other thing we discussed tonight as we listened to the Sunday show was the “Bag”. We talked about how great it was that Phish could do a six minute “AC/CD Bag” without cutting any corners or sacrificing anything. I guess that was the theme for the whole weekend, but the idea that they can pack all of these great tunes into a set the way they did, and still have each versison serve its purpose, whether a jam vehicle, a shreddy rocker, or whatever is still amazing to me. I love that this band can still surprise me after all this time.

  25. full tour! Says:

^agree about AC/DBAG….it’s short and sweet, but a powerhouse none the less. overall, night 3 is quickly becoming my favorite of the 3.

night one is good, but they seemed tense, and i don’t blame them. they were still nailing complex composed sections, but not gelled like night 3. night 3 was fluid, and top ballgame…night 2 was also pretty great overall.

  26. A Big Thank you for the tapers. These Audience Recordings put up here sound phenomenal!!!!!!

  27. I like seeing the rumors posted as much as anyone but the problem I had with the Jones Beach > Nassau rumor is that Miner said the source was New York Newsday, when in reality his source was PT. It would have taken two minutes to go to newsday.com and find the article or in this case he would have found nothing and figured out the rumor was bs.

  28. One last followup on the rumor thing – I actually wouldn’t have had a problem with it if he didn’t post the source as Newsday.

  29. ^Well, then create your own Website and do a better service. I’m more than happy with this one – I’m extremly thankful for the best Phish site there is – and has ever been so far. Thanks, Miner – you are doing a wonderful job. Hey, when will there be a “donation” button?

  30. Soon. For now you can paypal donations for site / hosting costs to davecalarco@hotmail.com… Thanks all…
